South Africa – 1994 – Krugerrand – Prestige Set – Proof – 4 Gold Coins – 1.85 oz Fine Gold – Wooden Box

This 1994 Krugerrand Prestige Set is among the issues that collectors particularly value because it offers not just a single proof coin, but a perfectly coordinated ensemble of four denominations. This creates a cohesive collector’s block that showcases the iconic Krugerrand in several sizes, while simultaneously appearing visually and conceptually unified.

Included are 1 oz , 1/2 oz , 1/4 oz , and 1/10 oz proof coins, totaling 1.85 oz of pure gold . The classic design remains unchanged, featuring the springbok on the obverse and Paul Kruger on the portrait side with the inscription SUID-AFRIKA – SOUTH AFRICA . The proof finish is particularly striking, as the reflective fields and matte relief areas create a clear contrast, making details appear significantly more three-dimensional.

Furthermore, the original packaging is a significant part of the collector’s value of prestige sets. This set is therefore offered with its original wooden box . Together with the capsules , this protects the coins while simultaneously making them immediately ready for display, which, in our experience, significantly enhances the overall collector’s impression of such sets.
