This particular example of the South African Natura Springbok gold coin from 2017 bears the NGC certification number 4603655-058 and has been certified with the perfect grade PF70 Ultra Cameo .

This issue commemorates the important South African sculptor and coin designer Coert Steynberg . His historic springbok designs are among the most famous motifs in South African numismatics and formed the basis for the later depiction of the springbok on the Krugerrand.

One side of the coin depicts a resting springbok with the inscription “SOUTH AFRICA 2017”. The opposite side shows a leaping springbok along with the inscriptions “NATURA”, “COERT STEYNBERG”, “1947-2017” and the denomination “R100”.
