Südafrika 1KR South Africa – 2002 – Krugerrand – 1 oz Gold Proof – PCGS PR68DCAM

The Krugerrand 2002 1 oz Gold Proof combines the classic design of the famous South African gold coin with high-quality proof minting and independent PCGS certification.

The obverse features the well-known portrait of Paul Kruger, surrounded by the bilingual inscription “SUID-AFRIKA – SOUTH AFRICA”. The reverse depicts the characteristic springbok. The inscription “FYNGOUD 1 OZ FINE GOLD” confirms the gold content of one troy ounce.

The Krugerrand is made of 916.7 fine gold and also contains copper. This gives the coin its characteristic warm, slightly reddish gold color and greater durability. With a total weight of 33.93 g, it contains exactly 1 oz of pure gold.

This coin has been graded PR68DCAM by PCGS. The designation DCAM – Deep Cameo – refers to the pronounced contrast between the mirrored coin fields and the matte-effect motifs. The certified proof condition makes this issue particularly interesting for collectors of classic Krugerrand gold coins.

The Krugerrand 2002 combines one of the world’s most famous gold coins with high-quality proof minting, an attractive appearance and the security of a recognized PCGS certification.
