NGC MS 61. TOP POP!!
This is an another RARE and UNIQUE coin from "Wildman" type taler of Georg Wilhelm of Brunswick-Luneburg-Callenberger (1648-1705). This particular coin has error in obverse legend - "LUIN" which we've never seen on auctions as well as it is not described in reference literature. Popular design with Wildman holding the tree without crone branches and the different ground design which was used in later talers. 1664 - "transitional" year which can explain the variety of dies and errors. Anyhow RARE and UNIQUE coin! Especially valuable because of state of preservation - graded as MS 61 by NGC! Of courser, Top Population and the ONLY ONE certified for this type! Attractive gray patina with touch of golden toning, sharp details of the design - perfect collectible from all perspectives!!!
