Березанское поселение, известное у античных авторов под названием Борисфен, традиционно считается самым первым памятником античной культуры в Северном Причерноморье. Археологические материалы Борисфена - одна из уникальных коллекций Государственного Эрмитажа, собранная за многие десятилетия археологических раскопок на острове Березань, из которых почти тридцать лет связано с деятельностью экспедиции самого музея. В составе коллекции насчитывается более 9500 разнообразных предметов, в основном произведений прикладного искусства античной эпохи.

Berezan settlement, known in ancient authors called Borisfen, traditionally considered the first monument of the ancient culture in the northern Black Sea coast. Archaeological materials Borisphen - one of the most unique collections of the State Hermitage Museum, collected over many decades of archaeological excavations on the island Berezan, of which almost thirty years connected with the activities of the expedition of the museum itself. The collection comprises more than 9500 different items, mostly works of applied art of ancient times.
